What actually makes a company successful?

It's not just the products, good-looking online shops or a CIP. None of this works without a team that stands behind the company. If you want to break it down roughly, there are the following characteristics that you should keep in mind as a manager: 

1. A strong sense of "we"
2. Clearly defined and measurable goals
3. Participation
4. Positive and constructive communication
5. Shared rituals and events
6. Clear distribution of roles
7. Shared responsibility

In the spirit of the first point, strengthening the "we-feeling", our annual team-building event is an eagerly awaited highlight of the working year.

While these shared moments have been neglected by Corona in the last few years, we can look back on many wonderful activities so far. From the Kremser trip, to hikes, to attending events, to weekend holidays in wintry Oberwiesenthal or the West Erzgebirge region, we have already experienced a lot.

This year we were looking forward to an action-packed tour in the Spreewald. At summery-hot 30° C, we started the day packed with praising, kind words from CEO Micha and a survival package from our Feelgood team. And the sun creams, spray guns and iced coffees we had packed were going to be needed that day.

A good mood was already created on the bus: with coffee and sparkling wine for breakfast and a first animation programme: [BOXXCO] Taboo with terms from everyday working life and corrugated cardboard knowledge.

On the cucumber, get set, go.

After arriving in the tranquil town of Burg in the Spreewald, we went straight into the water. In canoes for 2 and 3, we paddled through idyllic landscapes, smaller hand-operated locks, over boat slips, past cow meadows, lovingly prepared gardens... and lots and lots of nature. The UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Spreewald is known for its wild and romantic network of over 1,575 km of small rivers and canals, of which about 260 km can be experienced by canoe or punt.

After 45 minutes, the harbour came back into view. We spent the time until lunch relaxing, chatting, playing volleyball or swimming (in the not nearly clear water). Situated directly on the riverside, we enjoyed a hearty farmer's breakfast, goulash or jacket potato.

Freshly strengthened, we went back into the canoe and another hour of paddling and lots of laughter followed. A few water fights later and partly well soaked, we reached the jetty from where we were to continue our sporting activities. All BOXXCOians were able to prove their talent at 18 holes of mini-golf. And let's put it this way: we were always eager, but our talents lie elsewhere.

On to the last round

At the final part of the day in the adjacent restaurant, we feasted on the buffet and toasted with drinks and cocktails. As cosy as it was, only a handful of colleagues went to the restaurant's "games room" for a table tennis match.

On the return journey, the loudspeakers were turned up to full blast and the bus turned into a lively party bus.

The day was over many too quickly, but the opinions were clear:

Daniel: "It was "boxxtastic", the enhancement of fantastic, it was a lot of fun. It was necessary to leave work behind and just have fun together."

Lutz: "It was very good, great atmosphere, brilliant environment."

Marcel: "It was a great trip. We really are a great team."

Julia: "You feel closer to your colleagues from other departments now, even if you don't have much to do with them otherwise."

André: "It's nice to experience all the different and likeable characters in a combination of nature and leisure. I'm already looking forward to the event in 2023."

 

   


We thank our CEO Micha and the Feelgood team Nicole, Julia and Daniel for the excellent preparation and implementation, and look forward to a repeat. As we heard from Buschfunk, the planning for 2023 is already underway ????.
