Camp Venture, an innovative company specializing in camping and off-road accessories, faced a significant challenge: How could they securely and efficiently package and ship their 17 kg swivel bases? Thanks to their collaboration with BOXXCO, a custom packaging solution was developed that not only reduced packaging material but also significantly shortened packaging time.

The Challenge

The original packaging for the swivel bases consisted of a standard box with excessive padding. It was too large and impractical, leading to long packing times and frequent damage. The delicate handle on the swivel base was particularly problematic, often arriving damaged at the customer's end. Camp Venture needed a more efficient solution that would streamline the shipping process without exceeding the budget.

The Solution

BOXXCO designed an innovative shipping box made from a flat, pre-cut, and pre-scored double-wall cardboard sheet, precisely tailored for the swivel base. An additional cutout piece protects the delicate handle and serves as a spacer inside the packaging. The box is further reinforced with corner protectors, which significantly enhance security during transit.

Implementation and Results

The implementation of the new packaging solution went smoothly. A drop test from one meter confirmed the stability of the new packaging, and the time required to pack the swivel bases was also significantly reduced. Overall, the packaging material was reduced by about a third, and packaging time was cut by more than half.
