If you want to send a bottle as a parcel, you don't just buy any carton. Since glass bottles are usually heavy and fragile and maximum loss must always be assumed in the event of damage, the packaging for wine and sparkling wine bottles meets special requirements for parcel shipping. The DHL certificate for BOXXCO bottle boxes proves the particularly stable construction and corrugated cardboard of the packages. Since each bottle is first enclosed in a protective corrugated cardboard sleeve before being packed in the outer carton, a total of four layers of corrugated cardboard cushion the glass inside. In this way, glass breakage is avoided even if a package falls from a height of over 1m.

Single-wall bottle cartons, on the other hand, are more suitable as packaging for pallet shipping. They can be stacked very well, so that several packages can be placed on top of each other on a Euro pallet. This means that nothing stands in the way of safe food and beverage shipments!

Compared to a bottle, a bag-in-box (BiB) offers the advantage that more volume (litres) per VPE (packaging unit) can be sold and consumed. Due to its rectangular shape, the bag-in-box can be stored easily and in a space-saving way. There is also no need to compromise on shelf life. Due to the bag inside, which is filled airtight by hot filling, juices, wines and co. keep fresh for many months at room temperature.
