Properties of filament tape for industry & logistics

Filament adhesive tape is ideal for sealing and strapping hazardous goods or heavy goods. The polyester film (PET) is reinforced with glass fibres, which are responsible for the extreme tear resistance of the tape. This means that the filament tape will only tear down to the fibre if damaged.

In addition to its robustness, BOXXCO's filament tape also offers very strong adhesion to almost all surfaces. This includes not only metal or plastic, but also wood, corrugated cardboard and other uneven materials.

The adhesive material of the filament tapes consists of hotmelt; a synthetic rubber, which is insensitive to moisture and a short-term temperature increase of up to 60 °C. The filament tapes can be applied to almost all surfaces, including metal or plastic, but also wood, corrugated board and other uneven materials. Nevertheless, the filament tapes should be applied in dry areas at room temperatures of 17 to 21 °C to ensure best adhesion.
