| Dangerous goods must be marked in such a way that they are recognized as such. This labeling is done for packages with danger labels and UN numbers. The hazard labels may also bear an inscription in numbers (or letters) indicating the hazard class (or, in the case of explosives, the so-called compatibility groups). Often, packages must be additionally marked due to other legal regulations, e.g. with references to the special hazards of the goods, possibly also with hazard symbols according to the Hazardous Substances Ordinance. |
